A VERY Peculiar History!
Mr Falke, Having read the first installment of your essay I must confess to being taken aback by the entire premise of your self described “peculiar history” beginning at the very first sentence and continuing with few factual interruptions to the very end. How you could dare to suggest that our colonial forebears were “savages” is beyond comprehension. As a bird and a scholar, I am deeply offended by the suggestion that my ancestors, who sacrificed life and limb in an attempt cultivate a civil society would be categorized as “tyrants”. In my book, THRUSHIA RISING, I chronicle the dreams, vision, struggles and eventual glory in the creation of a bold and innovative civil society. The individuals that conceived, developed and fought for the government of Thrushia are heroes in the truest sense of the word. To suggest otherwise is a treason of truth sense and reason. -Matilde Bicknell, Author, Historian
