Blue Jay (Cyanocitta cristata)Arguably, the greatest of pirates to sail the high skies. As captain of the Grosbeak, Blue Jay and his crew commandeered and plundered more colonial merchant ships than any other pirate in history. Well educated and eloquent, Blue Jay was known to talk himself out of many sticky situations. He could also impersonate almost any bird, a skill that he used to his advantage on a number of occasions. When talking failed, his expert skills with a cutlass served him well.
Eggs: 4-6 brown-spotted greenish eggs in a coarsely made nest of sticks lined with grass.
